Becoming Between Two Seasons
Welcome to Between Two Seasons — a story shaped as much by quiet moments as by heartwarming adventures. It’s about change, connection, and the grace that lives in both.
Step into a world where the changing seasons mirror the shifting lives of its characters. Let the crisp air of new beginnings carry you through their journey.
Here’s where you can follow the path — from where it began to the day the book made its way into the world.

August 2025
Before I started writing Between Two Seasons, it was just an idea that lived between my ears; a long-term squatter in my mind, taking up space, paying no rent, and showing no signs of moving out.
For nearly a decade, it made itself at home, rearranging the furniture of my thoughts. Eventually, though, I had to serve notice. It was time to pack it up and relocate it to the page, where it could finally stretch out and breathe.
Now, just weeks away from its (re)release, I’ve been reflecting on how far things have come — from a self-published book, to signing with an independent publisher, to having a second book ready to rock and a third already in draft.
To everyone who’s read Between Two Seasons, shared it, posted about it, reviewed it, sent a message, or simply encouraged me along the way, thank you. Your support has made this journey so much better than I could have imagined.
While a book might have one author, it never has just one voice. Every conversation, every piece of feedback, every cheer from the sidelines has been part of this story.
Here’s to the next chapter, and to all of you, in one way or another, who helped bring this one to life.

The degree to which I’m honoured that one of my favourite Canadian authors read my work can’t be measured on any existing scale.
Terry Fallis has been an incredibly generous and inspiring presence in my writing journey, and I’m so grateful he took the time to read my book and offer such kind words of praise.
I’m humbled by Terry’s support and encouragement, and proud beyond words to have his blurb grace my book’s back cover.

Here it is.
The cover speaks for itself, but I’d be remiss not to share a few words.
Endless thanks to Leanne Persichini for her extraordinary work, and for treating this cover (and the entire book wrap) with the same care and intention I had when writing the book. Every decision felt thoughtful, every detail fine-tuned. Working together never felt transactional; it felt like she was just as invested in this story as I was. I couldn’t have asked for a better creative partner, and I’m proud and honoured to share my name alongside hers on this book.
I also can’t thank Hannah Gordon enough for all she’s done for me in this writing life I now call my own. Her belief in this book didn’t just give it a new home — it gave it a new beginning. Her belief in me goes beyond business, and I truly appreciate that.
Between Two Seasons arrives September 2, 2025.
There’s so much more to say, and so much more to share in the weeks ahead.

June 2025
Big changes are coming to my novel, Autumn.
Deep down, Autumn will always hold a special place in my heart; it was my first novel, after all. But like the seasons, change is a good thing. It brings a renewed energy and excitement for what’s next. And there is a whole lot of “next”.
First up: a new title. Pair that with a brand-new cover, and it feels like the beginning of an entirely new chapter — literally and figuratively.
But here’s what’s not changing: the heart of the story. The soul of Autumn still lives in the pages; in the characters you’ve met, the places you’ve walked, the moments that linger.
Autumn has found a new home with Gordon Publishing thanks to Hannah Gordon, and a fresh visual identity thanks to the brilliant Leanne Persichini, who reimagined the cover with thought and artistry.
Mark your calendars: the new title and cover will be revealed on June 20, 2025.
This next chapter is just getting started.

March 2025
I’m truly grateful for the support and encouragement I’ve received from some of my favourite Canadian authors—Amy Jones and Ali Bryan among them—who not only took the time to read my novel but also shared insightful blurbs. Their kindness and generosity left me speechless.
Now joining that incredible list is Terry Fallis, one of my must-buy authors and someone largely responsible for reigniting my passion for reading. Terry graciously offered a blurb for the upcoming, revamped edition of Autumn, set to be released later this year.
I still recall our encounter at an event last fall, where I nervously handed him a copy of my book, hoping a physical copy would be more appealing than a digital one. His response exceeded anything I could have hoped for. He spoke about the importance of paying it forward in the literary community and expressed a willingness to support me without hesitation.
While I may not yet have the recognition to offer blurbs of my own, I’m committed to championing fellow indie authors. I find real joy in promoting their work, amplifying their voices, and celebrating their literary endeavours.
As for Terry’s blurb, I’m excited to unveil it alongside the reveal of the new title.
